Days & Hours: Monday to Friday 6.45am to 8.00am and / or Bank position. There is the possibility of further contracted hours

Emily is a happy and outgoing 16 year old, who has a wonderful sense of humour and is a joy to be around. She enjoys a range of activities including shopping and eating out, yoga, swimming, bowling and assisted bike riding which she likes to attend when she is not at school. Emily lives at home with her parents, younger sibling and the family dog.
Emily experienced a brain injury at birth which resulted in her having quadriplegic cerebral palsy, epilepsy and significant learning difficulties. She is a full time wheelchair user and attends a Special Needs School in the local area. Emily uses a communication aid at school and eye pointing, sounds and expressions at home to relay her needs, wishes and feelings.
The role will involve providing care and assistance to Emily, including personal care, at home and in the community, to enable Emily to live as independently as possible. You will work under the guidance of the Team Leader and must be comfortable providing 1:1 support basis in a home and community setting.
This job will suit caring and approachable Support Workers either looking for morning or bank shifts. For Bank, you must be able to commit to one shift per four week rota. You will have an understanding of acquired brain injuries and possible associated medical conditions.
Fantastic opportunity to work with Emily and continue in the development of her independence. Ongoing training and regular support will be provided in this role.
