Meet the Snap Team!
Andrew Knight: Director
Andrew started Snap with Sally Britton in 2001. He is father to Camilla who has cerebral palsy (see below). Andrew sees our business as a parent might; Camilla was the original inspiration for Snap.
Camilla: Snap's Inspiration!
Camilla, Andrew Knight's daughter, was the initial inspiration to start Snap. Camilla has cerebral palsy and is happily living in a lovely residential home, Beech Lodge, Horsham. Camilla continues to be our inspiration and motivation to set the bench mark for the best care and opportunity for children and adults with disabilities or additional needs.
Emmeline Cosgrove: Recruiter Support and Resourcer
Emmeline has extensive experience in the child care sector as a teacher in schools and working with private families as a governess and tutor. Her interest in working in the SEN field comes from delivering badminton sessions to students with additional needs and PMLD in the North East. Emmeline joined Snap in September 2017 as a recruiter assistant and resourcer.
Jackie Skinner: PA to MD / Recruiter Support and Resourcer
Jackie's background is in HR and Public Relations. Her interest in working in the special needs field, came after doing voluntary work for icandance, an arts-based charity for children with additional needs. She joined Snap Care in May 2011 to work in marketing, social networking and business expansion. Jackie also compiles and distributes our monthly online newsletter.
Jade Coffey: Specialist Recruiter
Jade has a certificate level 5 and 6 in Childcare and Supervision. She has worked with mainstream children for over four years and has supported children with additional needs, however; her main experience comes from growing up with her brother Anthony who has cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Jade joined the Snap team in August 2014, initially as an administrator / resourcer, but quickly showed her talent and progressed to her current role as specialist recruitment consultant. Jade has been a guest speaker on Costing Childcare at the Jacqueline Webb Conference.
Janet MacLennan: Specialist Resourcer, Recruiter Assistant
Janet has the NNEB certificate and extensive special needs experience having worked with a wide range of children and adults with disabilities. Her experience includes working with clients with challenging behaviour, autism, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, Acquired Brain Injury and complex medical needs- you name it, Janet has done it! Janet initially joined Snap for 4 years as a specialist recruitment consultant, then was placed with an International family through Snap for 5 years and then returned to work again as a specialist recruitment consultant.
Kamila Nevrklova: Specialist Recruiter
Kamila has a degree in Psychosocial studies and has worked with children and adults with disabilities and additional needs for the last 15 years. She has extensive experience supporting clients with complex medical needs, autism and developmental delay. Prior to joining Snap, she worked for a large care provider ensuring an effective and smooth care delivery. Kamila joined Snap in August 2017 and is a great addition to the team and all the clients Snap is supporting.
Rachael McIntyre: Specialist Recruiter
Rachael holds a BSc in Psychology and has worked with children and young people with a variety of disabilities and additional needs. Working as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant and a Tutor at Explore Learning. Rachael has hands on experience supporting children with autism, BESD, Asperger’s, visual impairments, developmental delay and Cerebral Palsy. Rachael joined the Snap team in November 2014 and continues to offer her wealth of experience to families.
Ruth Lillis: Senior Administrator
Ruth is our full-time administrator. Ruth joined Snap in June 2010 and ensures the smooth running of the office. Ruth has gained a huge amount of knowledge and understanding of specialist childcare and care recruitment since joining Snap – she is also an excellent judge of character!
Sally Britton: Managing Director
Sally has a BSc (Hons) Psychology that she completed as a mature student. Sally has worked in the disability profession since gaining her NNEB (Nursery Nursing Diploma) in 1983. She worked extensively with children with a range of disabilities and additional needs before starting Snap with partner Andrew Knight in 2001.Sally continues to manage Snap and focuses on the growth and development of the business. Sally is a regular attendee / exhibitor at conferences across the UK and guest speaker at various conferences including the COTTS-IP Medico Legal Conference.
