Seb, 9, is a bright and engaging little boy. He has cerebral palsy and developmental delay which affects him physically. Seb uses Eye Gaze to support his communication. He is fed and has his medication administered via a gastrostomy and is completely dependent on others for all of his personal care, feeding and mobilisation. Seb is looking for a kind and sensitive waking night carer to join his established home care team and provide 1:1 support during the night.
Seb requires assistance with repositioning, preparing puréed feeds for his gastrostomy and undertaking all of his personal care. He can be unpredictable and experience discomfort in the night, finding it difficult to get back to sleep, meaning his day can anywhere from 5am. Seb is observed via a monitor in the next room. This position also includes supporting Seb with his morning routine such as getting ready for a busy day at school. Other duties will include tending to Seb’s laundry, batch cooking, preparing medications, stock checks and washing syringes.
Seb is looking for a permanent new member for his care team. If you are an experienced waking night carer who has previously supported a young client with similar needs, then please apply today with your updated CV. Jade from Snap will be in touch to discuss the next steps with your application.
Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
