Samuel, 12, is a fun loving, engaging and mischievous chap who enjoys bike rides, swimming and playing games with his siblings. Samuel has cerebral palsy, is a wheelchair user and communicates using his computer; he requires support with all his care needs. Everyone who meets Samuel is quite captivated by him; he is a pleasure to work with.

Samuel is a very bright, independent and determined young man who knows what he wants and is very capable of expressing his needs. You’ll support Samuel with his personal care, manual handling, therapy, day time activities, play dates, and education.

You’ll need to be able to work alongside other members of the care team, including from time to time Samuel's parents, providing care alternately independently or in conjunction with another carer.  This position requires you to work with Samuel's therapists, implementing their goals and advice on best practice.

Samuel requires a strong and robust support worker who will act as his advocate within social activities and settings.  Most of all Samuel needs a person he can have fun with whilst also promoting his independence and giving the encouragement he needs to reach his full potential.

A wonderful opportunity to support a delightful young man with full induction training, on-going training, support and supervision. If you wish to be considered, please apply today.

Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
