Essential: Experienced support worker, confident cooking nutritious meals, happy to support Susan during activities and holidays.

Days & Hours: Monday: 7.00am – 5.00pm, Tuesday: 7.00am – 10.00am, Wednesday 7.00am – 6.00pm, Thursday: 7.00am – 5.00pm, Friday 7.00am – 6.00pm, Saturday: 7.00am – 10.00am, Sunday 7.00am – 6.00pm. This a job share with two support worker / PAs

About this client/child:
Our client Susan is 35 years old, she sustained a spinal cord injury and is a wheelchair user (electric and manual), and as a result of her injury Susan can struggle with fatigue levels and pain on a daily basis. Susan is very active, she enjoys a range of sports such as tennis, swimming, and working out at the local gym but also loves fashion, gardening and travelling. Susan lives in Chatham, however is potentially relocating (locally) in the near future.
Overview of role:
Each day will be different depending on what Susan has planned. You’ll provide practical hands on support to enable Susan to live her life as she wishes, complete activities that compliment her therapy and provide life enrichment. Susan requires some support with personal care and full assistance with general household duties, cooking and travelling with Susan on holidays in the UK and abroad.
Who this job would suit:
A reliable, friendly, flexible and experienced Female* Support Worker/PA who can build a trusting relationship/ bond with their client however also understands professional boundaries. A Support Worker/PA who has similar interests and also enjoys leading an active lifestyle. Susan has two positions available on her care team so can be flexible in the hours / shifts available.
