Support Worker / PA, Surrey, GU22 A fantastic part-time after‑school Support Worker / PA opportunity is available for a proactive, enthusiastic professional who would love to support a vibrant teen with a physical disability in Woking. This is a rewarding, hands‑on role offering up to £18.50  Gross per Hour and the chance to make a genuine difference in a young person’s life.

Nearest Station: Not applicable – will need own transport to get to location
Salary/Wage: £18.50 gross per hour  
Driving Requirements: Yes – essential due to the client’s home location.
Essential: Experience supporting a young person with a physical disability; confidence with manual handling; a keen interest in sports and music; excellent communication and organisational skills; non-smoker/vaper.
Desirable: Experience working within a family setting
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, 4.30pm–8.15pm. Additional hours available during school holidays
Pets in Home: Yes – two friendly dogs

About the Client Jacob is a charismatic, funny, and engaging 16‑year‑old who lives at home with his family in Woking. He’s a natural conversationalist with a cheeky sense of humour and a love of banter. A passionate football fan, he regularly travels to watch matches. He also enjoys music of any genre, gaming, swimming, cooking, and even skiing. Jacob has Cerebral Palsy and uses a wheelchair; he can weight‑bear and transition with support using equipment such as a Sara Steady. His home is well‑equipped, including a lift to enable independence. Jacob is, in every sense, a typical teen—social, fun, and keen to extend his support team so he can do more of the things he loves. He’s an absolute pleasure to spend time with.

The Role at a Glance Your shift begins at 4.30pm, when Jacob arrives home from school. Afternoons are relaxed and varied—snacks, downtime, therapy sessions on certain days, followed by dinner, bath and bedtime routines. Jacob will guide you on his preferred plan each day. During school holidays, the role becomes even more fun, with opportunities for activities and day trips. At 8.00pm, Jacob’s night carer arrives, and you will complete a thorough handover.
