SEN Support Worker in Fleet, GU51. A fantastic opportunity available for a SEN Support Worker to support Elsa; 7-year-old, bright, cheeky and funny girl! Rota based role, including over nights. Full-time position: up to £19.20 gross per hour, with a minimum annual salary of £33,600.00+ gross per annum.

  • Driving Requirements: Yes, WAV for use on duty
  • Essential: Excellent childcare and SEN experience. Confident with manual handling and experience working in a family home setting. Available for long shifts on a rota basis and must be able to travel with the family, advance notice is given in the event of travel. Driver with full UK license is required. This role is open to *Female applicants only
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • You will work 38 hours per week during term time and 48 hours per week during school holidays, on a rota basis. The role includes a mixture of daytime, evening and sleeping night shifts. Flexibility is required to cover annual leave and absences, and rotas are provided in advance.

About the Client/Child Fabulous Elsa is 7 – a real busy bee and thrill-seeker who loves theme parks. She enjoys singing lessons and often treats her family and team to performances at home, with even her teddies joining the audience! Elsa is pre-verbal and uses some vocalisations and Makaton alongside her AAC which she is a wizz with to support her communication. Elsa has Cerebral Palsy and uses both a walker and a powered wheelchair to support her mobility. She is an incredibly determined, strong-willed little girl and bright as a button. Her family and team of SEN Support Workers work closely together to support her in reaching her full potential.

The Role at a Glance Elsa attends school, and her team provides wraparound care, including sleeping night shifts. Shifts are managed on a rota basis to ensure that she has appropriate support in place to attend all of her activities. Elsa is a great sleeper and usually sleeps through the night, so disruption is unlikely. Outside of school, Elsa has a busy schedule and enjoys exploring new hobbies and interests. This is a typical SEN Support Worker role, involving planning activities, playing games, supporting Elsa to access the community and maintain friendships, promoting independence, facilitating learning, implementing therapy programmes, and assisting with all self-care needs. Elsa’s home is fully adapted, with all manual handling carried out on a 1:1 basis. She has a small team who work closely together, alongside her family and other healthcare professionals.

This Job Would Suit A fun, positive, and proactive *female, SEN Support Worker with a passion for development and play. You will have strong SEN and childcare experience, be creative, and be available to work both weekdays and weekends. Shifts are provided in advance for excellent work–life balance.
