Oliver is a bright, energetic and usually happy 5 years old who loves music and movement, spending time at the park and hydrotherapy. Oliver has cerebral palsy, he is wheelchair user and uses facial expression and sounds to communicate and is currently learning how to use Eye Gaze. Oliver is totally dependent on adults to meet all his needs.
This role will involve supporting Oliver 1:1; providing personal care, play and therapy support and ensuring he is happy, safe and receiving every opportunity to reach his full potential. It is essential to build Oliver’s confidence, self-esteem and uphold his dignity whilst promoting his independent.
This job will suit a positive, enthusiastic support worker / carer who has a passion for working with clients with additional needs. Training and supervision provided.
Hours / shifts*
Term time Monday to Friday: 1:30pm – 8:00pm
School Holidays Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 8:00pm
Weekends: 8:00am – 8:00pm (earlier finish depending on rota)
Nights: 10:00pm – 8:30am with 4 hour sleep-in period.
Will consider carers working regular weekends or nights.
