We are delighted to be working in association with a management company well-known to Snap on this position. They will be carrying out all the recruitment once candidate CVs have been forwarded for their consideration. (Click here for more info on how Snap works with associated companies).

Hilary is an engaging woman who has an Acquired Brain Injury following encephalitis and as a result has significant cognitive and memory difficulties. She also suffers from absent seizures. Hilary can communicate relatively fluently, but needs support in some social and complex situations. Hilary requires support with her daily routine, but in many areas, is quite independent including her own personal care.

We’re looking for a thoughtful and supportive woman who will enable Hilary to enjoy her Sundays. This is a rest day for Hilary, there are none of the usual appointments, so she can enjoy National Trust visits, music in the park, taking a walk, going to the cinema, eating out and shopping. Additional days / hours will be available for planned and unplanned cover, so the more flexible you can be, the better!

This role could suit someone who ideally lives locally and wants to keep ‘their hand in’ with this type of work, maybe someone semi-retired, or perhaps someone new to this type of work who is willing and wanting to learn.
Hilary has made great progress with her rehabilitation and although this is part-time role, it is still a very important one. Your work will support the cohesion of the team and enable that progress to continue.  Great support from the case manager and team leader.
