Essential: A minimum of 2 years managing and supervising a care team, prior experience providing hands on support to a young adult with a physical / neurological condition. Nonsmoker/vaper
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 36 hours per week (including admin / team lead hours) Shifts are typically 8.00am to 6.00pm, or 6.00pm to 8.00am (including a sleeping night). Sleeping nights 11.00pm to 7.00am
Family/Client Pets: Yes, Labrador
Accommodation: Staff area / office space, including a carers bedroom with ensuite for use whilst on duty

About our client: James 24, lives in Bradley, Hampshire, in a fully adapted annex built onto his family home. He leads an active lifestyle and enjoys spending his days out and about in the community, attending his day service , listening to music, and he has a keen interest in Formula 1. James has a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy, as a result he requires 2:1 support day and night to meet all of his health, care, and medical needs. He has a PEG in situ for all fluid, nutrition, and medication, he is a full-time wheelchair user, and communicates via hand signals, sounds and a communication book. With the support from his team, James lives independently and plans his weekly routines ensuring he has plenty of leisure activities to keep him busy.

Overview of role: The Care Team Leader is responsible for managing and coordinating a large team providing 2:1 support, which includes a team of live-in and live-out carers. The day-to-day admin / team lead duties include but are not limited to; Rota management, training, supervision, appraisals, updating care plans, completing risk assessments, diary management, managing stock supplies, equipment etc. This is a dynamic role which enables you to continue providing hands on support to James, and allocated admin hours are set aside each week to complete the team-leading duties, these hours can be increased if necessary.
