Care Team Manager, Southampton, SO16. Opportunity available for an experienced manager to oversee the running of a large home care team assisting a young adult with complex care needs. Hybrid role. 3 x 9 hours shifts. Offering £32,000.00 + Gross per Annum.

Days & Hours: 27 hours per week over 3 days. Working days and times to be mutually agreed. 2 days of remote working, and 1 day on site with the client and team.

About this client: Ivy is 19 years old and is returning home after a fabulous couple of years at a residential college. Although Ivy is returning to her family home, the set-up is very different, and she now has her own self-contained apartment. Her family home has been thoughtfully separated to provide her with her own private space. Ivy will have her own separate entrance, which will allow her greater independence while remaining close to her family. Ivy has hemiplegic cerebral palsy (left side), a learning disability, is neurodivergent / autistic, sensory processing difficulties and drug-resistant epilepsy. Ivy is mobile and communicates verbally, however, she can experience extreme fatigue, and requires support with her mobility, motor control and self-regulation. She is full of life, has a great sense of humour and loves to engage with others, and participate in activities!
Overview of role: There is a team of 10 Support Workers currently providing 2:1 day care, and 1:1 waking night support to Ivy. The day-to-day admin duties are managed by a Team Leader, and the Team Manager’s position is to oversee the full running of the care package. The Team Manager position is a dynamic and collaborative role from managing rota’s, recruitment, completing supervisions to care co-ordination management, and everything in between, most important being Ivy’s advocate and supporting the full process so that she can lead an independent life with the right care and support in place. You will have exceptionally high standards of practice and be committed to creating a forward-thinking, respectful, and inclusive team culture and working environment.
