About this client/child:
Tom is a 10-year-old cheeky chap who lives a full and active life and enjoys a range of activities from hydrotherapy to arts and crafts and exploring the great outdoors! He is friendly, sociable and an absolute pleasure to work with and support. Tom has cerebral palsy, is a wheelchair user and has a gastrostomy PEG for his fed. As a result of his complex care and medical needs, Tom requires support to meet all his care needs and requires an experienced School Holiday Support Worker to join his small home care team.
Overview of role:
As Tom’s School Holiday Support Worker, you will support and assist Tom with all aspects of his care plan. You will enable Tom to participate in a range of activities within the family home and out in the community, focusing on maximizing his independence skills in line with his therapy programme. You must be confident liaising with and working alongside therapists, such as physio and occupational. Weekday rates are £13.00, and Weekends are £15.00, gross per hour.
