Days & Hours: 1 or 2 weekend shifts per week on Saturday and Sunday 12.00pm - 5.30pm or 2.00pm – 8.00pm, additional hours available to cover weekdays, school holidays sickness and annual leave

Mark 9, is a sparky and charming boy. He loves to be kept busy; Mark loves Adventure Parks, going to the library and farms, going up and down in lifts and likes to occasionally go on a bus. Bouncing on the trampoline and playing on a swing are his most favourite activities! Mark has dystonic cerebral palsy which causes involuntary movements in all four limbs. He can take food orally but requires support to ensure he doesn’t choke or aspirate. Additional fluids and medications are administered via PEG. Mark is non-verbal, he is using a range of devices and aids to communicate. He can express yes and no clearly.
Your role will be to support Mark with his weekend routine, providing personal care, assisting with dinner and bath time and organising fun activities and outings. You will implement programmes from a variety of therapists, including physio, speech and occupational, in a fun, creative and playful way.
This job will suit an energetic, caring and kind support worker with strong communication skills who enjoys working within a family home and providing 1:1 support. You must be confident in manual handling and administering medication. This is a great opportunity to work with this fantastic family and help Mark to reach his full potential.
