Tom, 26, is an active young man who enjoys playing pool, fishing, walking the dogs, cycling and playing computer games. Tom sustained a brain injury and as a result requires assistance with certain aspects of his life. He can mobilise independently but has cognitive deficits including issues with memory, planning, concentration and disinhibition. Tom can present with behaviour that may challenge and may require a reminder of what sort of language or behaviour is appropriate for certain situations.

We are seeking a friendly and active support worker who will assist Tom with daily tasks, plan and organise his time and support him with access to community and social activities. You will encourage him to participate in and accompany him to different activities and outings. You will support Tom with the therapy programmes and implement them into the daily routine to ensure a progress in his rehabilitation.

This role will suit a proactive, experienced and confident support worker with good understanding of brain injury. You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team. A fantastic opportunity to help Tom to reach his full potential and promote his independence.
