Archie is a cheeky, fun-loving 7-year-old boy who enjoys going to school, swimming, playing games and outings such as visiting the zoo. Archie has an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and complex medical needs which includes ventilation via a tracheostomy, receiving nutrients via a PEG feed and all personal care. Archie needs people to treat him as any other 7-year-old and won’t take kindly to being treated as a baby.
Archie has a team of people supporting him at home and there are openings for three female* support workers. Whilst Archie’s needs are complex, excellent training is provided so you will be fully equipped to meet Archie’s clinical needs. (You’ll even get paid at £8.00 an hour while receiving training!)
Ideally, you’ll have a background supporting a child with similar needs, but with excellent training and support provided, this is also open to individuals who are passionate about providing the best care and would like to gain experience providing complex clinical care. If you’d like to join Archie’s dedicated team, send your CV and ideally a brief supporting statement and we’ll forward your CV to our client for their consideration.
*Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 for a female worker to work with our client.
Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
