Days & Hours: Mixture of Day & Night shifts, three to four x 12 hour shifts per week 8.00am to 8.15pm & 8.00pm to 8.15am
Family Pets: 2 cats, 4 dogs and 4 horses

Grace aged 17, has a tremendous sense of fun and is very engaging. She loves being around her animals, being outside and spending time with her close group of friends. Grace had an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) in January 2018, this has mainly affected her speech, cognition and mobility. She was discharged from a London hospital in May 2019 May and returned to her family home in Leicester, where her family, care team and therapists have been implementing a rehabilitation program.
You will be joining a small care team where you will be taking direction from the Team Leader and therapists to ensure Grace receives the best care. Grace requires full assistance with her daily routines and all of her personal care needs. The role will include a mixture of PEG /oral feeding, medication administration, supporting her mobility via hoisting and assisting with all of her therapies. During the evenings the night care will take place in the main house. There will be an opportunity for additional hours supporting another Support worker / light household duties.
This job will suit someone who is calm but very proactive and able to bring lots of enthusiasm to the role, ideally a swimmer as Grace enjoys swimming and this is a great physio activity. You should bring with you lots of enthusiasm and a caring fun nature. The family are looking for someone who can work well in a team setting and fit in well within a busy family home. You should be able to enjoy the remote area as the location is very rural. The family are looking for someone who can commit to them for at least one year in order to build a good relationship with the family.
