Up to £50,000 gross per annum dependent on experience and current registration status. Nurse required for a team lead position providing specialist care for a young child with complex needs.

Wage / Salary: Up to £27.00 weekdays & £29.00 weekends gross per hour dependent on experience and current registration status
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? On duty, adapted vehicle: automatic drive
Essential: Nurse with experience supporting children with physical disabilities
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 35 hours per week. Rota includes a minimum of 3 shifts per week: 1 day and 2 waking nights support. Additional daytime hours provided for completing team leader admin tasks and annual leave cover.

We are looking for an experienced Nurse to lead an established 24/7 care team to support a young child with complex physical and medical needs. The child has cerebral palsy, epilepsy (well controlled through medication), reflux and is enterally fed. Despite having complex needs our client is a bright and engaging child with a playful character and an infectious smile.

In this role you are responsible for leading and managing the care team working closely alongside the child’s parents, case management and therapy team plus other involved professionals. We are looking for a nurse or someone with a strong nursing background to support the team and parents. You need to be able to manage all the child’s medical and care needs, implement therapy programs and manage the care team effectively.

As team leader you will be responsible for creating and updating rotas, updating care and support plans, monitoring stocks and supplies, organising trips and holidays, monitoring training, staff inductions, supervisions, team meetings and managing payroll.
