Days & Hours: Alternate Weekends, Saturday and Sunday 12.00pm to 6.00pm

About this client/child:
Jasmine aged 12 has a dynamic personality with a cheeky and playful character. She has lots of energy and will capture you with her beaming smile! Jasmine loves singing, dancing and playing football. Jasmine had a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) as a result of a road traffic accident in September 2015.

Overview of role:
As Jasmine’s Weekend Support Worker, you will be involved in supporting her both in the home and the community. There will be times when you are interacting with both Jasmine and her siblings and assisting with family outings. At home Jasmine has her own therapy room so this is a great opportunity to engage with her and implement some activities. Full training will be provided by the therapists to ensure you are confident carrying out set programmes. A key area of focus will be to continue promoting Jasmine’s independence and supporting her with prompting. There will also be the opportunity for additional hours in the week and during school holidays.

This job will suit someone who is has lots of energy as you will need to keep up with Jasmine! You must also be confident, reliable and organised. Mum really appreciates people who are upfront and honest, so this is an important trait to have for this role. You will need to have your own car; mileage will be paid when used on duty.
