Days & Hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am to 9.30am, then 3.00pm to 7.30pm.

About this client/child:
Jasmine aged 12 has a dynamic personality with a cheeky and playful character. She has lots of energy and will capture you with her beaming smile! Jasmine loves singing, dancing and playing football. Jasmine had a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) as a result of a road traffic accident in September 2015.
Overview of role:
As Jasmine’s Support Worker, you will be involved in supporting her both in the home and the community. During the morning you will prompt Jasmine to get ready for school and make sure she has everything required for the day. You will then take Jasmine, her brother and sister to school which is about a 5-minute drive. In the afternoons once you have collected Jasmine from school, you’ll assist with her evening routine and therapy programs that have been set by her therapists. Full training will be provided by the therapists to ensure you are confident carrying out set programs. A key area of focus will be to continue promoting Jasmine’s independence and supporting her with prompting. You’ll also help encourage positive interactions between Jasmine and her siblings. During the school holidays you will work two x 9.5 hour shifts, days to be agreed with family.

This job will suit someone who is has lots of energy as you will need to keep up with Jasmine! You must also be confident, reliable and organised. Mum really appreciates people who are upfront and honest, so this is an important trait to have for this role. You will need to have your own car; mileage will be paid when used on duty.
