About this client/child:
Arthur 6, has cerebral palsy and associated medical conditions. He loves role-play games and Lego. He adores technology and likes to be active. He is a very caring and determined little boy who is a joy to spend time with. Arthur is mobile but can be unsteady and suffer from fatigue. Arthur receives all liquids and medication through a PEG as he is at risk of aspirating on all fluids and has a soft, mash-able diet.

Overview of role:
In this role you will be required to assist with the morning and after school routines, organising play-dates, implementing therapies at home in a fun way and taking Arthur to therapy activities such as swimming and horse riding.  Full and part-time roles are available. Working hours are based on mix of hours and could include after school, evening and sleeping night shifts (for example: 2.00pm to 8.00pm term time; sleeping nights 7.30pm to 9.00am. During School Holidays, shifts would start at 9.00am.  
Rates: £15.00 weekdays, £17.00 weekends. Sleeping Night shifts: £11.80 weekdays and £12.80 weekend (all gross per hour) 

Who this job would suit:
This exciting position will suit a proactive, kind and caring Support Worker with a ‘can do’ attitude and plenty of experience supporting clients in a home setting. You will be proactive and insightful and learn when Arthur needs extra support and when he requires quiet time, for example when he is fatigued. Driver is essential.
