End Date: 8th January 2019
Days & Hours: Monday to Friday 9.30 am to 5.00 pm (Some flexibility on hours on 25th December and 31st January)
Snap are looking for a temporary SEN Nanny during Christmas to support Tom, 10, and at times his 4 year old brother, William. Tom has cerebral palsy and has made amazing progress over the last couple of years. William is an extremely active and communicative little boy.
Tom is gastrostomy fed, and while his verbal communication has improved considerably, he still relies a lot on Makaton. He is mobile, but can require some support when on the stairs, and especially when outside of the home where he can be unstable at times. Whilst Tom’s eyesight appears to be alright, he can be distracted and not look where he is going, so needs to be reminded to avoid bumping into things.
This job will suit a fun and loving SEN Nanny who is able to engage with both boys and work alongside mum and dad when in the family home. The family are keen to hear from Teaching Assistants as there could be future temporary opportunities during school holidays.
This great family is well known to Snap, who have worked with them for many years. The family would like the chosen nanny to be available for a shadow shift preferably either the week or the weekend before.
