About this client/child:
Kevin aged 14, loves swimming, walking and being around people. Kevin has cerebral palsy, epilepsy and requires 24-hour care. He is tube fed and experiences severe reflux so can be quite sick at night
Overview of role:
Kevin has an established bedtime routine. The night support worker will make sure that he is sleeping comfortably and safely. This will involve ensuring he has the appropriate medication and milk feed via his Gastrostomy and that any occasional seizures are closely monitored. You will be required to carry out Kevin’s personal care His temperature and the quality of his sleep needs to be logged regularly.
