About the Client/Child
Meet Nakita (aged 5), a warm, caring and very affectionate little girl who brings so much love to those around her. She lives at home with her mummy, daddy and her younger brother (aged 2). She enjoys connection, reassurance and gentle encouragement, and she thrives when she feels safe, understood and supported. Nakita was involved in a serious road traffic accident, resulting in a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Since then, she has shown incredible resilience and determination in her recovery. She is regaining her mobility but lives with left-sided hemiplegia and requires ongoing support with her safety, daily routines and physical development. Nikita has recently started primary school but is currently unable to manage a full day due to fatigue and the impact of her injuries. At home, her absolute favourite person is her baby brother, who she completely adores! He is her best friend and little partner in crime — together they can often be found sharing giggles, getting up to a little harmless mischief, and keeping everyone smiling. Her family are seeking a kind, patient and proactive SEN Nanny who can provide consistent, nurturing support for Nikita, while also offering an extra pair of hands at home to support both children and help maintain a happy, calm environment.
The Role at a Glance
The SEN Nanny will provide dedicated after-school support for Nikita, including school pick-ups as she finishes early. The role involves assisting with personal care, supporting her physical needs, and helping her engage in activities that promote her development, wellbeing, and independence. A key part of the role is planning and facilitating fun, stimulating activities for Nikita and her baby brother, both at home and outside, encouraging play, learning, exploration, and growth. The ideal Nanny will be imaginative, playful, and happy to join in with games, laughter, and a bit of harmless mischief alongside the children. The role may also include light household duties to support the family and create a calm, organised home environment. Nikita receives ongoing therapies, including physiotherapy, so the Nanny will support her mobility and encourage her progress while gently helping her strive for greater independence in her daily life.
