Up to £16.00 Gross per Hour. Full-time position available on a home care package in West London providing 24/7 support to a lady with an acquired brain injury (ABI)

 

 

 

 

Title: Full-time Support Worker
Location: Ealing, West London, W13
Nearest Train / Tube Station: Ealing Broadway
Wage / Salary: £14.00 weekdays | £16.00 weekends, gross per hour | £115.50 – £132.00 gross per sleeping night shift
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? On duty, adapted vehicle, automatic drive
Essential: Experienced providing care and support, excellent command of the English language. Calm and proactive.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Full-time contract 36.75 hours per week. Shift patterns: 8:00am – 8:15pm and 8:00pm -8:15am. Must have full availability and flexible to work a mixture of shifts, will include days, nights and weekends.

Mary is in her 60’s, lives with her husband in Ealing and is supported by a team of carers providing, 24/7, 2:1 support which includes waking and sleeping night support. Mary has an acquired brain injury (ABI) which affects her speech, cognition and mobility. Mary requires assistance with all aspects of her life including mobility, meal times, personal care and transfers.

As Mary’s Support Worker, you will work closely with her Case Manager, Team Leader and treating team of therapists. Your role will include full care duties including personal care, PEG feeding, medication administration, implementing therapies, household duties as well as taking direction from Mary’s Team Leader to ensure she is well supported and cared for. As part of this role you’ll ensure Mary is given every opportunity to feel part of her local community, planning trips, getting out and about and attending social events is essential and a big part of this position.

The shift pattern is rota based, working 12.25-hour, day or night shifts. This care package is offering a full-time permanent contract. You must be available for full-time hours and be comfortable working day and nights. This position is for a Female* support worker. 

In this role you will have the chance to work with excellent therapists and healthcare professionals, learning from them and implementing their support and care plans. This role offers an excellent rate of pay as well as a really great working pattern.
