Simon 25, requires 2:1 support and is now recruiting a new member to join his care team. This is a full or part-time Support Worker position and will require working some weekends. Simon has severe epilepsy and as a result, has absences every few minutes during the day and has convulsive seizures at night. Experience supporting a client with epilepsy is desirable, however, full training is provided and you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside long-standing team members who can guide you in how to care for Simon. The need for emergency medication is rare however training will be provided to administer if required according to protocol.
Although Simon has complex care needs, he is very active and he enjoys living life to the fullest; he has a long list of hobbies which include swimming, cycling, attending his day centre, painting/drawing and days out to wildlife parks – and many other activities! In this Support Worker role, you will support Simon with all aspects of daily life, including personal care, administering medication and accessing the community.
Simon has a supportive family and team around him. For this role, you must be a team player, be physically fit and enjoy an active lifestyle, and have a positive and can-do attitude. Previous experience working in a family environment is very desirable.
This a fantastic opportunity for a caring, passionate and outgoing Support Worker. If you wish to join Simon’s team then please forward your updated CV to Jade at Snap.
Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
