Freddie 6 is seeking a confident, engaging and experienced waking night support worker / carer to assist with his night routine. Freddie sustained a brain injury when he was 2 and as a result has complex medical needs and requires 24/7 care. He is a charming little boy, who loves sensory activities swimming and music and is at the heart of a loving family; Mum, Dad, two big brothers, a new little brother and a friendly dog… this is a busy, active, but fun family home!
A typical night with Freddie will involve caring and tending to all his needs. Drawing up, administering, refilling medication. Observing temperature, stats, monitoring seizure activity, suctioning when required, repositioning regularly, personal care; taking notes throughout the night to provide a detailed handover to the team member taking over in the morning. Alongside the above, some general duties will include; meal preparation, taking care of Freddie’s laundry, preparing his school bag and keeping his bedroom and the meds room is clean and tidy for the next shift.
Freddie’s safety, well-being and comfort depend on a team of committed and dedicated support workers. If you think you’d like to be part of his team please speak with Jade who has more information available.
