Lisa, 16, is a lively young lady who loves swimming and watching her favourite TV show (Strictly Come Dancing) but also likes to have quiet down time and a bit of girly pampering! Lisa has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and epilepsy, she is a wheelchair user and is non-verbal.
The position involves picking Lisa up from school on a Friday, carrying out her chest physiotherapy then spending the evening engaging with Lisa, all the while making sure she sticks to her routine. There will be time at the weekend to plan more interesting activities such as trips out, which Lisa really enjoys!
This position will suit an outgoing, pro-active person who will thrive working within a busy family home. You must have experience working with children or young adults who have similar additional needs and be confident administering Lisa’s medication.
