Snap are looking for a Support Worker to work with the delightful Daniel (10) and Sara (7). Daniel is very chilled and laid back; Sara is much cheekier and described as a ‘wiggly worm’ by her mum. Both children love music and enjoy being sung to. Daniel and Sara have an undiagnosed neurological condition; they have low muscle tone, are tube fed, non-verbal and are visually impaired. They have epilepsy which is well controlled with only occasional absent seizures.

The family are looking for two support workers, one for each of the children so you will support each other with certain activities such as manual handling. After school duties include hoisting from chair onto the mat for a roll around and stretch, preparing blended meals, personal care, organising school bags and light housework associated with the children.

This job will suit someone with a passion to make a difference to the children's lives; somebody who will work on strengthening their skills and focusing on their abilities. The person needs to be confident, proactive and be able to take the initiative in providing a safe and stimulating environment.
