About this client/child:
Millie aged 4, is a happy, bright, articulate and very sociable little girl. She loves swimming, the Lion King and playing with her toys. Her younger sister Hannah (2) is adorable and into everything you would expect at that age. Millie has sensory processing difficulties, dyspraxia and an autism diagnosis. She can become quite overwhelmed by loud environments and sudden changes to routines; this is when meltdowns and challenges can occur. The family are originally from the US and have been living in London since December 2019; they are looking for a wonderful Nanny to join their family and become part of the team.

Overview of role:
The role will involve building a caring relationship with both children, assisting with the before and after school routines, light housework/nursery duties (the family have a housekeeper), planning activities, assisting with therapy and generally ‘mucking’ in with family life. Both children attend school/nursery so the Nanny will have some free time before collecting Hannah from Nursery at around 12.00 pm. The core focus is surrounding child development, the family would really welcome someone who can bring new ideas or strategies to the table. Both parents have busy working schedules so they are looking for a Nanny they can depend on and someone who is looking to make a long-term commitment. The family are keen travelers and will be looking for someone who is happy to travel with them.

Who this job would suit:
This role will suit a calm, easy-going and experienced female* SEN Nanny who shows empathy and resilience during the more difficult times. You should be passionate about child development and happy to invest your time and energy into the role. A Nanny who can be creative and think of engaging ways to support Millie with her physical and social development whilst also making these activities enjoyable. A sense of humour is a must! You should also be an animal lover as both girls adore their pets and enjoy spending time with them.

What’s great about this job:
This is a wonderful opportunity to join a dynamic and fun family where teamwork is paramount. Both girls are at a great age where you can make such a positive impact on their future development. The family are happy to offer further training for the right candidate.
