Essential: Previous experience supporting a young client with complex care and medical needs
Start Date: ASAP, Urgent.
Days & Hours: Full and Part-time contracts. Due to covid-19 Jim is not currently attending school so shifts are 12 hours. 8.30am - 8.30pm when attending school: 3.00pm - 8.30pm. Saturday 8.30am - 8.30pm, Sunday: 2.00pm - 8.30pm

About this client/child:
Jim is 16 years old; he loves to spend time with his family, watching YouTube, hydrotherapy sessions, and getting out and about. Jim has complex care and medical needs; he has cerebral palsy, epilepsy and receives his food via a PEG. Jim communicates using sounds, facial expressions, and body language. He requires support to meet all his care needs including personal care, hoisting, and medicine administration.
Overview of role:
Jim requires support with his afterschool and weekend routine, you will assist Jim with all aspects of his care plan, enable him to take part in activities, and implement his therapy programmes as instructed by his treating therapist. The Carer will liaise with Jim’s family, case manager, and multidisciplinary team (MDT), to ensure he is receiving the highest standard of care and continually promote his independence.
