Team Leader in Ealing, W7.  A fantastic full-time opportunity for a professional and experienced Care Team Leader to manage a care team providing 2:1 round-the-clock support to our client Mary. Up to £21.50 Gross per Hour.

Essential: 2 + years team leader / managerial experience in health and social care
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 41.75 hours per week. 3 long contact shifts plus 5 hours set aside for admin duties. Shift times: 8.00am – 8.15pm or 8.00pm – 8.15am

About this client/child:  Our client Mary, is in her 60’s and we have had the pleasure of working with her for several years. She lives with her husband in Ealing and enjoys a wide range of activities including social outings, attending events, planning trips, shopping, and being part of her local community. Mary sustained an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) several years ago, and, as a result requires 24/7, 2:1 support with all her health, care, and medical needs. She is a full-time wheelchair user, requires manual handling with support equipment such as hoists, slings, and slide sheets. She communicates with some words, and uses her body language, sounds and facial expressions to support her expressive language skills. Mary has complex health care and medical needs, and with the support of her care team continues to live independently in her home.

Overview of role: The Care Team Leader will manage the large team providing round-the-clock support to Mary. You will work contact hours with Mary, working alongside a colleague supporting all aspects of her health, care, therapy and medical needs. Mary’s team leader will foster a supportive ethos, build a dynamic team, manage all aspects of training, supervisions, appraisals, coordinate the rota, organise annual leave / cover, and manage the team day to day, team meetings, review care plans, update records and detail accurate information. The Team Leader works collaboratively with Mary’s case management team and other healthcare professionals, a role that is all encompassing. Full job spec and role responsibility document available for review. This is a full-time role offering a mixture of days, waking nights, and on-call night shifts (on site).

Who this job would suit: A manager or team leader, with previous experience leading a large care team, co-ordinating client’s care with strong skills in team management. For this role you must be computer literate, a strong communicator, a people person, robust and resilient.
