About this client/child: Our client Zach is soon to be 7 years old, his lives at home with his Mummy, Daddy, and younger brother in his fully adapted home (manual hoists), in Chiswick and receives 1:1 day and night support by his very own dedicated team of Support Workers. He is an outgoing, happy, energetic, and confident young chap with a love for singing, music, sensory play and is very outdoorsy.  Zach has Cerebral Palsy, and it affects his overall development, he is a wheelchair user and requires support for all his health and care needs and all aspects of his movement and handling. Zach is great with his verbal communication, and uses PECs and Makaton to support his expressive communication.

Overview of role: This position is to provide 1:1 support to Zach to assist him with his personal care, ADLs, self-help and independence skills, he likes his weekends to be packed with activities and outings, so, lots of planning and organising his diary! An important part of this role is implementing Zach’s therapy and rehabilitation programme, in a fun and creative way, all based around play! Training is provided by his therapists. On Monday’s his SEN Support Worker will drive his WAV for the school run, and driving is also required at the weekends, therefore it is essential that you are confident driving an adapted automatic vehicle. Zach’s parents can be very flexible for the people joining his team; they would not expect someone to commit to every weekend, and additional hours are available to cover leave etc.

Who this job would suit: A fun, creative, bubbly, and confident SEN Support Worker keen to learn new skills. This is an ideal position if you are interested in learning more about therapy. If you love to laugh, sing and dance – this is the role for you!

What’s great about this job: Everything! Of course, supporting Zach is the best part of this role; whilst he will absolutely keep you on your toes and is full of mischief, we guarantee he will make you laugh and smile every day! This role comes highly recommended by current Snap Care employees. Excellent training, ongoing supervision and support provided.
