About this client/child: Noah (8) lives at home with his Mum, Dad and his two younger sisters aged 6 and 2. Noah is a bright, happy, and social boy who has a love for the outdoors. He also enjoys reading books, watching movies, spending time with his friends, riding bikes, animals and playing with his Lego. Noah was diagnosed with ADHD in September and has some associated emotional regulation challenges, especially after school. He has been on medication since October and has been doing well, but still requires a lot of 1:1 attention which can be difficult with his two sisters around.

Overview of role: We are looking for a SEN Nanny / Manny to join this busy household and provide an all-round extra pair of hands. The family currently employ a Nanny so working collaboratively is a big part of this role. There is time before the children arrive home from school to plan for the evening routine, undertake domestic tasks (the family employ a cleaner) and diary management related to the children. Whilst your focus will be supporting Noah, there will be times when you will support his siblings, or all three of the children, so experience supporting multiple children is essential. Some days the SEN Nanny / Manny will pick Noah up from school, and other days you might be collecting his siblings. There are also always plenty of play dates! As you can imagine, every day is slightly different, and you will play an active role in the after-school routines. Facilitating positive relationships between Noah and his siblings is also very important. During school holidays, the SEN Nanny / Manny will be proactive in planning engaging and stimulating activities inside and outside the home for the children to partake in, based around and expanding upon their interests. The hourly rate offered for additional hours is £20.00 Gross Per Hour. The family would also consider candidates looking for less hours so if this would be of interest please enquire.

Who this job would suit: This role will suit an SEN Nanny / Manny who brings with them a positive energy with the ability to stay calm under pressure. Someone with a great sense of humour, excellent organisational skills and someone who is used to working in busy households with multiple children and supporting a child with ADHD.

What’s great about this job: A fantastic opportunity to become part of this loving family and support the ongoing development of all the children. There will be an opportunity to travel with the family and an annual bonus incentive. You will have the opportunity to be involved in Noah’s play therapy sessions.

Who is recruiting for this role? Snap Care will be carrying out all recruitment including shortlisting, recruiter interviews and arranging employer interviews.
