About this client/child:
Julian, 20 years old lives with his parents and little brother. Snap has had the pleasure of knowing Julian and his lovely parents for a few years now. Their current Snap PA has just moved on after supporting Julian for the past two years. Julian is incredibly passionate about films (Sci-Fi) and writing. He has now completed his second book! His language skills are excellent. He is autistic, he is very interactive, however there are times when he really needs his own space, and he will let you know when. Occasionally, if he feels penned in; his behaviour can be unpredictable. With your experience you will know when to step back and allow him the time and space to self-regulate.

Overview of role:
Julian is at home full-time. You will continue supporting and guiding him with everyday life skills, such as cooking, self-care and keeping his bedroom in order. You do not have to love Sci-Fi but having a genuine interest in films is important. A driver is essential as Julian really loves going out to different places, such as Oxford, Cambridge and Milton Keynes (there is a Sci-Fi museum) and of course London. More local activities include cycling and trampolining.  Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and one weekend day from 11.00 am to 7.00 pm

Who this job would suit:
As his PA you will have experience supporting clients who are autistic and have behaviours that may challenge, continue to build on Julian’s self-confidence, and to successfully deal with significant life changes and challenges. You will bring intelligence and thoughtfulness to this role. You will be proactive in discovering new and interesting activities for Julian to join in.

What’s great about this job:
Being in the company of a great writer and using your own professional skills and experience with similar clients to enable Julian to enjoy life to the fullest!
