Live In/Out, SEN Nanny in Dubai. A fantastic full-time opportunity for a professional *Female SEN Nanny, who specialises in SALT for Apraxia, to support an engaging, bright boy of 4 with a diagnosis of Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), Dysarthria and Global Dyspraxia. Up to £52.104.24 gross per annum – Tax free.

Wage/Salary: Live out: £52.104.24/240,000.00 AED per annum Tax free. Live in: £39,078.12/180,000.00 AED per annum Tax Free. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
Driver Essential? Preferable – Automatic car to use on duty.
Professional experience supporting a child with SALT (especially Apraxia) and implementing therapies into child’s daily routine. Confident swimmer. First aid trained. Non-smoker/vaper. *Female candidates only.
Desirable: Degree in SALT. Experience liaising with OTs and Physios. EU passport holder. German, Arabic or French speaking. 
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Saturday.
Family/Client Pets: One Cat.
Separate accommodation in staff housing, if candidates wish to live in: double room with en-suite and access to shared kitchen and washing facilities. Two-bedroom apartment available to rent if candidates wish to live out.

About this client/child: Adam, 4, lives at home with his Mum, Dad, and two sisters (9 & 3) in a fully staffed household. Adam is a quiet, warm & loving child who enjoys puzzles, music, books, stories, & play. He attends nursery full time. He has a diagnosis of Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), Dysarthria and Global Dyspraxia. Allergies: Hazelnuts & Almonds (has an EpiPen). He has daily speech therapies, incl. PROMPT, Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DCCT) and TalkTools. Experience with these therapeutic methods will be beneficial. Adam receives regular bi-weekly OT and Physiotherapy. He is a very sweet and loving boy, with a quiet and gentle demeanour.

Overview of role: This role requires the SEN Nanny to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday. Breaks will be taken when Adam attends Nursery, between 9/9.30am to 12.30/1pm. Saturdays consist of a few therapy hours in the morning. The aim of this role is for the SEN Nanny to implement several of Adam’s therapies at home, reducing the amount of travel time to his therapies and increasing his school/nursery time. The SEN Nanny will have proven experience supporting children with SALT therapies and implementing these into children’s daily routines. She will manage Adam’s Individual Education Profile (IEP) and carry out related PA duties. There is extensive international travel in this role (Europe, US). The family employ other Nannies & housekeepers. They are looking for consistency for Adam, & can only consider candidates, who can make a long-term commitment and understand the role requires flexibility.

Who this job would suit: This role will suit a professional, flexible, and highly organised LSA/SEN Nanny, who is looking for a long-term role. Someone discreet, who has 1-1 experience (ideally 5 years) supporting a child (or a qualified SALT) with their speech & language development. Someone warm, creative, and calm, with excellent time management skills, who loves working with children and is willing to play, teach basic mannerisms, and aid them in reaching developmental milestones.
