2017 is their 40th Anniversary and they are asking people to don aprons, send out those invites and help raise even more money and awareness.

Everyone's "normal" is different:Snap likes this blog

Autism is not a binary, by Georgia Harper

Know Your Normal is all about empowering autistic people to assess and communicate our own “normal” rather than being obliged to conform to rigid expectations – whether they’re expectations from the neurotypical world, or expectations about what an autistic person should be.

Hope for Premature Babies

Hope that synthetic wombs will reduce risk of disability

An artificial womb designed to support critically premature babies has been demonstrated successfully in animals for the first time, in an advance that could transform the lives of the most fragile newborns.

College officially becomes Royal College of Occupational Therapists

The College of Occupational Therapists has officially been renamed the Royal College of Occupational Therapists today, 19 April 2017, after Her Majesty The Queen granted permission for the Royal title to be used by the College which can trace its origins back to 1936.

The College is the professional body for occupational therapy representing nearly 32,000 occupational therapists across the whole of the United Kingdom. Occupational therapists provide life-changing support to people managing illness, injuries and a wide range of physical and mental health conditions across both health and social care settings. Uniquely, they work to enable people to carry out daily activities ('occupations') which are essential for health and happiness. This vital care helps people recover and build new skills to enjoy a full and independent life.
