About this client/child:
Macy is 22 years old; she lives at home with her family in Wombourne and has a full support team in place to enable her to live independently. Macy is a whirlwind, she loves life and makes the most of it! Macy has Dyskinetic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, as a result, she is a wheelchair user and requires support to meet all her needs.  A true girly girl who loves to be pampered, spend time shopping, listening to music, and watching her favourite TV shows such as Friends and Sister Sister!

Overview of role:
The Support Worker will provide hands-on 1:1 practical care and support to Macy, following her care plan, assisting with personal care, administering medication, feeding (pureed diet), therapy, moving and handling/hoisting, participating in activities, accessing the community, going to events.

 Macy requires a permanent Bank Support Worker to join her Care Team with flexible availability, the role is essentially to pick up hours throughout the week (day and occassional nights), including weekends, and to cover any staff absence or holidays. The Rota is provided up to 4 months in advance, therefore, notice of available hours will be given, of course, at times urgent cover will be required.

Shifts:
Monday to Friday: 8.00am – 10.30am | 4.00pm – 8.30pm
Weekends: 9.30am - 8.30pm
Rates: £12.00 Weekdays £14.00 Weekends Gross per Hour

Who this job would suit:
An energetic, positive, friendly, and outgoing Support Worker with a great attitude, keen to learn, and happy to muck in as and when needed. An experienced Support Worker with excellent communication skills and a true passion for their role. For this role, you must be confident driving an adapted, automatic vehicle.
