About this client/child:
Jack (6) is a very intelligent and chatty boy who is creative and enjoys Lego. He currently has a keen interest in Star Wars. Jack is part of a very lively household and has a great rapport with his three siblings, Alex (11), Liam (7) and Emily (3). All the children are fun, bright and outgoing. Jack has recently been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, which adds an extra element of complexity to the job. Although not formally diagnosed, Jack does also present with some Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) traits.

Overview of role:
This is fast-paced, loving, engaged and kind family. Both mum and dad are involved and hands on with the children, so this will be a mix of sole and shared care. As you can imagine, with a big family, every day is slightly different, and you will play an active role in the after-school routines. You must be able to multi-task and use your own initiative. In addition, Jack also will need someone who is aware and alert to his diabetes in both meal preparation and his medication. The boys all play instruments and have other after-school activities (between them swimming, tennis and hockey) to which you’ll assist taking them to and from.

Who this job would suit:
This job will suit a confident and experienced Nanny who is highly capable, pro-active, positive and very motivated. You must be somebody who feels comfortable working with a child with diabetes and happy to administer medication.  The family will welcome someone who has their own ideas and experiences who can really add value to the household.

What’s great about this job:
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a welcoming family who can offer an attractive salary, 6 weeks holiday and great travel prospects.
