About this client/child:
Our lovely client Lily is 8 years old, an engaging, mischievous and funny little girl who loves imaginary and creative play, baking, watching Horrid Henry and Giggle Quiz. She has cerebral palsy and is a wheelchair user. Lily has a visual impairment, epilepsy and communication difficulties. Our client is looking for a caring support worker to join her team and provide 1:1 night support during weekends.
Overview of the role:
In this role you‘ll tend to all Lily’s needs throughout the night, you’ll watch her via a monitor, checking on her every 15 minutes, respond to any seizures, and assist with all personal care needs. Lily generally wakes between 3.00 am and 6.00 am and wants to start her day. During this time, you’ll help settle her back to sleep or sit with her to keep her company and read stories, etc.
Who this job would suit:
An experienced waking night carer who is looking for a long-term position. Previous experience supporting children is essential and it is highly desirable to have experience working within a family environment.
