Our client Gracie is 16 years old and lives at home with Mum, Dad, and her two brothers. A true girly girl who loves shopping, pamper sessions, eating out and keeping in touch with all her friends, she also enjoys playing tennis! Gracie has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, a mild learning disability and is a wheelchair user, she requires full support to meet all her care needs and this is provided by her dedicated care team. We have an opening for an alternate weekend support worker to join this small but busy team.
In this role, you’ll assist Gracie at the weekends, attend events and activities in the community, enable her to enjoy some quality family time, or head out for a spot of shopping or a bite to eat. As well as supporting Gracie at home and in the community you’ll follow her care plan and provide assistance with personal care, implement therapy programmes or help out with some light household and nursery duties. All Gracie’s team get involved with all aspects to ensure family life runs as smoothly as possible.
Gracie requires a Female* Support Worker who is passionate, confident, positive and energetic. A support worker who will continually promote her independence, blend into family life and be comfortable working alongside family members as Gracie loves spending time with her parents and siblings.
