Seb, 9, is a bright and engaging boy who enjoys being outside on his tricycle and also loves being read to! He has cerebral palsy and developmental delay, which affects his mobility and head control. Seb is fed and has his medication administered via gastrostomy. He is completely dependent on others for all of his personal care, feeding and mobilisation needs.

The role will involve planning and organising activities and outings for Seb over the weekend. Working with Seb you will get a feel for the activities he likes and you must be able to build a good rapport with him in order to enable him to fulfill his potential and enjoy new experiences. Typical duties such as assisting with personal care and implementing therapy programmes are included.

The family is ideally looking for a confident and energetic Support Worker who has previous experience caring for a child with cerebral palsy, however an aptitude for hands-on learning is key and a willingness to learn on the job, coupled with a true passion for working with children would suit this position. You must also be happy to interact with Seb’s younger brother and sister.

A great opportunity to work with a delightful young man and continue his development. If interested please apply today! Jade from Snap will be in touch to discuss the next steps with your application.

Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
