Driver required? Desirable (But Amy has just passed her driving test)
Use of a car? Yes adapted vehicle on duty, automatic drive
Desirable: Previous experience supporting a young adult with a physical disability however personality fit is very important for our client.
Start Date: ASAP – June 2020 (option for an extended contract after University year is finished)
Days & Hours: Friday 5.30pm – Sunday 5.30pm. You’ll be on-call during the night. Happy to consider employees working alternate weekends. All expenses covered and meals included whilst on shift.

About this client:
Amy is 24 years old, a full-time Politics and International Relations student at Reading University who is living independently with the support of her care team. She will finish her Degree in June 2020. Amy is loving her Uni lifestyle, she is extremely social and is often out at pubs, clubs, and events with her friends, or eating out and shopping. Amy is passionate when it comes to volunteering, music and loves sports such as horse riding, scuba diving, and skiing. Amy has cerebral palsy and is a wheelchair user, she requires support with all practical daily tasks.
Overview of the role:
You’ll provide practical support to enable Amy to live her life independently and as she wants to. Your key responsibilities will be to support Amy to access and take part in activities including nights out, sports, volunteering and being part of the student community. You’ll support Amy with her personal care (training provided) and basic household tasks such as cooking, light housework, etc. It would be of great benefit to be familiar with Macbook programmes such as Adobe, Photoshop, and Premier however training is provided.
