£13.00 gross per hour! Weekend Support Worker / Personal Assistant required for 17 year old with cerebral palsy in Bristol.

Location: Bristol
Nearest Train Station: Bedminster / Keynsham
Wage / Salary: Weekdays £11.00 gross per hour | Weekends £13.00 gross per hour
Driver required? Preferable
Use of a car? On duty OR own car required and mileage paid whilst on duty.  
Essential: Supporting young adults with additional needs and following care / support plans.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Saturdays 10.00am – 4.00pm OR 4.00pm - 9.00pm, with additional hours available during school holidays and to cover sickness / holidays of other support workers who provide care during the week. 
Family Pets: 2 dogs!

Max 17, is a music lover, outdoor enthusiastic and enjoys quality family time! Max has cerebral palsy, is wheelchair dependent and communicates using sounds / vocalisation and body language. It is absolutely key that you spend time with Max and really get to know the person he is to fully understand his likes, dislikes, emotions and hobbies etc.

We are recruiting two support workers / personal assistants to support Max at the weekends providing 2:1 care within the family home and out in the community. Max would like his care team to continually promote his independence, contribute to his development and to explore new interests and hobbies. Max requires full support with his daily routine so you must be confident in manual handling, providing personal care and administering medication.

This position will suit a caring, energetic and passionate Support Worker / Personal Assistant who really wants to make a difference to a person’s life. As mentioned Max is very family orientated so you will be comfortable spending time with and working alongside his close relatives.
