£12.00 Gross per Hour. Lily 8 is looking for an energetic, fun and creative support worker to join her care team and provide support on the weekends, in the East Sussex area. Permanent contract.

Wage: £12.00 Gross per Hour – weekend rate  | Due to increase in the near future
Driver required? Desirable
Use of a car? Yes, adapted vehicle, automatic drive
Essential: Previous experience supporting a client with a physical disability and/or childcare experience.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: Saturday and Sunday 10.30am – 3.00pm, alternate weekends | additional hours available

About this client/child:
Our lovely client Lily is 8 years old, an engaging, mischievous and funny little girl who loves imaginary and creative play, baking, watching horrid henry and giggle quiz. She has cerebral palsy, and is a wheelchair user. She has a visual impairment, epilepsy and communication difficulties. Our client is looking for a fun and bubbly support worker to join her team and provide 1:1 support during weekends.

Overview of role:
In this role you’ll support Lilly to access and take part in activities at home and out and about in the community. You’ll assist with all aspects of her care plan, personal care needs, including feeding and carrying out therapy programmes under the guidance of her therapists. Lily also attends Conductive Education on alternate Saturday’s so you’ll also support her during these sessions.

Who this job would suit:
An outgoing, bubbly, energetic and fun support worker, perhaps a LSA or TA who would like to gain experience working within a family setting and would like additional hours during the weekends and school holidays, a recent graduate or an experienced support worker who has the availability to make a long term commitment to Lily.

This is a really fun role, you’ll have the opportunity to be out and about, exploring new interests with Lily and really making the most of her weekends! You’ll also have the opportunity to learn new skills and work with experienced therapists and have ongoing supervision from Lily’s case manager.
