India (12) is a charming young lady with a fantastic sense of humour. She enjoys relaxing at home, baking and arts and crafts activities. India has cerebral palsy, autism and epilepsy. She can have up to eight absent seizures a day and a full tonic-clonic seizure approximately once every three months. India is mobile and verbal and can express her needs however she can display challenging behavior when unable to clearly communicate or when she feels her needs aren’t being met. India requires support with most daily activities, from assistance with feeding to personal care.
You will be responsible for supporting India during the night, providing personal care, following recommended therapy techniques and getting her ready for school. The job will require you to work closely with India’s family and a team of staff, so a team player is essential.
This job will suit an empathetic, caring and kind person who enjoys working within a family home and providing 1:1 support. India is a great young lady to work with, she has a supportive family and we are looking for fantastic Waking Night Carer to join her team.
