Experienced waking night carer positions are now available on a small but busy home care team providing 24/7 support to Aaron. Aaron is 9 years old and lives at home with his Mummy, Daddy and younger brother and sister. He has cerebral palsy, complex medical needs and is a wheelchair user. Aaron requires support to meet all of his care needs. He is a pleasure to work with, he loves sensory activities and playing games with his siblings.

As his waking night carer, you’ll assist Aaron with his bedtime routine and tend to all his care needs throughout the night including assisting with all aspects of personal care and hygiene, administering medication, replenishing / monitoring supplies, documenting and logging accurate information, providing written handovers to the day support team and carrying out household duties relating to Aaron.  You’ll complete routine checks every 30 minutes and watch Aaron through a monitor, paying close attention to changes in respiratory or swallowing issues.
