Essential: Experience supporting a child with autism spectrum condition, behavioural needs and ADHD. Previous experience in a nanny/manny or sole charge role is essential.
Desirable: Educated to degree level or equivalent
Start Date: ASAP, start date is flexible for the right SEN Nanny/Manny
Days & Hours: Term-time: Monday to Friday: 3.00pm to 8.00pm. School holidays: (17 weeks per year) Monday to Friday: 7.30am to 6.30pm

About this client/child:
Our client Jay is 9 years old, he is an endearing, inquisitive, energetic and cheeky chap who loves spending time outdoors on his scooter or his bike, telling stories or listening to music, he enjoys a wide repertoire of music from Disney to Ed Sheeran! Jay has autism spectrum condition (ASC) and ADHD. He has both auditory and some tactile sensitivities, and at times can present with behaviours that challenge. Jay lives at home with his Mummy who works full-time and he attends a specialist school in Central London.
Overview of role:
This is a sole charge role for an experienced SEN Nanny/Manny who can work in collaboration with Mum and Jay’s ABA tutors in school. The role will involve collecting Jay from school at 3.30 pm and providing support with all aspects of his afterschool routine, including extra-curricular activities, exploring new interests and hobbies, planning activities, completing nursery and light household duties, preparing nutritious meals and running errands. The hours increase during school holidays, we would ideally like an SEN Nanny/Manny who is willing to work the school holiday hours if we are facing a lockdown situation again due to Covid-19.
Who this job would suit:
A positive, energetic SEN Nanny/Manny with excellent communication skills. Someone who is creative, and imaginative who brings new ideas, techniques, and strategies to this role. Previous experience supporting a child with autism spectrum condition and ADHD is essential. This role requires a proactive, engaging, and confident Nanny/Manny who will promote Jay’s independence and build on his self-help and developmental skills. Mum has a very busy and hectic work schedule and we are looking for a reliable SEN Nanny/Manny she can depend on. Someone who is looking to make a long-term commitment to this role, as change can be very disruptive for Jay.
