Amy, 10 is a very active and generally happy girl. She enjoys being outdoors and is particularly fond of swimming. She plays very well with her older brother Sam who’s 11 and has just started secondary school. Sam is very patient and good at distracting Amy when her behaviour might become difficult.

Amy was born at 27 weeks and has global developmental delay, this presents with associated learning difficulties and at times behaviour that can challenge. Amy can be impulsive, especially if she is not getting her own way.  During a tantrum she can lash out, for example, kicking or pulling hair, especially when she feels more comfortable around someone. Amy will also need prompting with her personal care.

During Term time the SEN Nanny will be on hand to support Amy with her homework (early stage reading/writing), supervising Sam whilst he completes his homework and preparing dinner for both children. During the school holidays there is much more time to organise fun trips out locally and the local swimming pool would be a winner!

This job will suit someone is confident, extremely caring, consistent and confident in being able to manage behaviour that can challenge at times. This is a great opportunity to continue supporting Amy’s development whilst joining a friendly family environment. To apply please send your CV to Rachael at Snap.

Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
