Wage: £13.00 gross per hour weekdays, £15.00 gross per hour weekend
Driver required? Preferable 
Use of Car: On duty 
Essential: Experience supporting a young client with complex medical needs, English and Indian Punjabi speaker
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 20 hours a week, Shifts available Monday - Saturday from 7.00am to 1.00pm then 1.00pm to 7.00pm. There will be also an opportunity to cover night shifts.

About this client:
Anik (9) is a delightful young man who likes his physiotherapy and sensory sessions and hoping to start a hydrotherapy soon. He enjoys being in water, going out to the park, listening to music and loves bubbles!  Anik has cerebral palsy and as a result his mobility and gross motor skills are severely affected. He has significant cognitive impairment and is non-verbal. His feeds are administered via PEG. Anik requires support with all aspects of his daily routine. 

Overview of role:
In this role you will be required to support Anik with his morning and afterschool routine, provide personal care, administer feeds and medications, implement the therapy programmes into a daily routine and attend and participate in hydrotherapy sessions. You will assist with some light, client related household duties and provide essential respite for Anik’s mother. The shifts available are from 7.00am to 1.00pm then 1.00pm to 7.00pm. There will be also an opportunity to cover night shifts.

This rewarding position will suit a proactive, experienced and patient candidate. You will enjoy working in a home environment and supporting client on a 1:1 basis, so you will be sensitive to the needs and wishes of the client and his family and be able to demonstrate the need for confidentiality and privacy. We need a support worker who can speak both English and Punjabi to effectively communicate.
