Rosy aged 13 is in year 9 at mainstream (grammar) school. She is a happy and sporty young lady. Rosy plays netball at high level and also just started playing rugby which she really loves. She also enjoys watching TV and music – especially US rap artists like Travis Scott. Her sister Kim has just turned 16 and will be sitting her GCSE’s this year. Rosy has Asperger’s syndrome and can present with behaviours that challenge occasionally.
The family are looking for an SEN Support worker / Personal Assistant to assist in their after school routine. This would include preparing the girls’ dinner, helping with their homework and taking Rosy and Kim to their evening (sporting) activities. Mum works full time so someone who can take sole charge and help in these areas would really take the pressure off. The family currently reside in Edenbridge but are house hunting and looking to relocate to Tunbridge Wells in the next couple of months.
This job will suit someone who has an interest in sports as both girls are very athletic. If you can also keep up to date with their favourite music artists and be in the know about typical teenage girl topics then this will go down very well! You should also be confident with behaviour management and be able to diffuse or re-direct less desirable behaviours at times. These are also important school years so stress and anxiety levels will be heightened. Someone who can offer advice and be sounding board at times would be much appreciated.
This is a great opportunity to make a positive contribution to this family’s life. You will be joining a lovely family and may even learn the odd sporting tip! To apply for this position please send your CV to Rachael at Snap.
Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
